It's that time of year again! In preparation for the 2018 law clerk hiring season, the OSCAR Program Office will perform its annual system archiving. This is done once a year to make room for new applicants, positions, and applications--and to help the site run faster.

The upcoming maintenance period is scheduled in four sessions. The OSCAR system will be fully functional during each of these sessions, with no downtime for users. However, we strongly suggest you take the following precautionary actions to ensure you do not lose any data stored in the system.

Monday, November 27

Judges, Chambers Staff, Staff Attorney Offices, and Court Unit Administrators:  Download applications and applicant information from 2016 currently stored in your Archive tab that may be needed for your records prior to November 27.

Friday, December 1

Applicants and Recommenders:  Unused applicant and recommender accounts are deleted. If you are an applicant or recommender, log in to keep your account active prior to December 1.

Monday, December 11

Judges, Chambers Staff, Staff Attorney Offices, and Court Unit Administrators:  Download 2017 filled/expired positions and applications submitted to them for your records prior to December 11.

Thursday, December 14

Law School Administrators, Applicants, and Recommenders:  Download applicant account materials and recommendation letters/templates for your records prior to December 14. Applicant and recommender accounts can be restored (without previous applications) upon login or by the OSCAR Help Desk.
