Bankruptcy Appellate Panel (BAP) Law Clerk: Can have a 6-month, 1-year, 18-month, 2-year, 3-year, 4-year, or Permanent term.

Available term lengths for staff attorney positions are 6-month, 1-Year, 18-month, 2-Year, 3-Year, 4-Year, Custom Length, and Permanent (not subject to 4-year limitation).

The Open Date is the first date that applicants can view your position in OSCAR. When you create a new position, the Open Date defaults to the current date. However, OSCAR allows you to change this setting.

When setting this date, please keep the following in mind:

Applicants cannot view your position in OSCAR and create online applications until the designated Open Date.
Applicants need ample time to create applications. Ensure that your position is open and viewable for a sufficient period.
If you choose as your Open Date the application release date set by the Federal Law Clerk Hiring Plan, you may put your chambers at a disadvantage for clerkship hiring. Applicants will not be aware of your position until the release date and will not have adequate time to prepare applications.
