OSCAR position posting and online application data from fiscal year 2014 is now available. Each year, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (Administrative Office) provides information on both the total number of law clerk positions posted in OSCAR and the total number of online applications for the previous fiscal year, which runs from October 1 to September 30. The Administrative Office provides this data via two interactive online maps. One map shows law clerk positions and online law clerk applications for district, bankruptcy, and magistrate judges, broken down by district. The other map shows law clerk positions and online law clerk applications for circuit judges broken down by circuit. This year, we also present the data via a tool called "Viewshare" that displays an interactive table that allows the user to easily filter data. For example, an applicant or law school could easily compare total positions posted in fiscal year 2014 for the states of Alabama, Georgia, and Arkansas in the same table or find all districts that received fewer than 1,000 online applications. We encourage all OSCAR users to review the maps and take advantage of the Viewshare tool to focus their law clerk hiring process.

Please note: This is historical data for the time period of October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014. The data presented does not represent the current state of the OSCAR system.
